The Mariner is Carver's most popular model but they rarely come on the market. I am not aware of any others for sale on the west coast. She has the interior space of most 40' yachts. I have spent 5 years and more than $20K restoring and upgrading Maluhia, including everything from the engine spaces to the bridge. The woodwork inside is all refinished and we just installed a new electric toilet with built in macerator pump.Maluhia handles beautifully - I have no trouble backing her into her slip in a narrow alley and with only 2" on either side. She has taken us through the wilderness of the Snake River to Lewiston, ID and has been all the way down to the Columbia River bar at Astoria. Always freshwater kept, professionally maintained (maintenance logs and records available), she has been our retreat on the Columbia River. Her hull sparkles and she always stands out in a crowd of cruisers.She has a walk-around deck with 14" space and high, stainless rails and safety lines.
