2000 Bayliner 4.2 D-Tronic 28 Classic SC, 28 ft This a vessel that is set up and equipped to provide a safe and comfortable cruising experience. This is a Northwest boat that can be cruised year-round. With the Alaska bulkhead 3/4of the vessel is cabin, with plenty of room to fish off the stern. With 2 ways to heat the cabin you can keep your quests warn in any weather. At a normal cruising speed of 16-17 knots she only burns 10 gallons per hour. If you cruise old school and drop down to 2200-2300 she will give you a steady 8 knots and only burn 2 gallons per hour. This vessel is documented with the US Coast Guard. I have taken it twice to Desolation Sound, once as far up as the Octopus Islands. As an example of this vessels fuel efficiency on the last trip back from Desolation Sound we refueled at Refuge Cove and spent the night at Prudeaux Haven. The next morning we cruised down Texada Island and then crossed the Straight of Georgia and refueled in Nanaimo, BC. We took on just a hair over 62 gallons of fuel. The other gas boats in our flotilla had to stop half way in Powell River to refuel. On a third trip north we visited Princess Louisa. This boat is so user-friendly. To come aboard or exit you simply step from the dock to the swim step and through the transom door-no high jumps over the side. The aft cabin provides for a changing area so your head is not tied up all the time. To launch the dingy takes less than 2 minutes. Just release the clevis pin and crank backwards and the dingy and the outboard motor lower into the water together. Tighten the motor thumbscrew, pull up on the two release handles and you are done! This is truly a one-of-a-kind vessel that wont last long.Everett moorage is available. $37,995.00, Accomodations: 1. Vessel is equipped with 2 custom made coil spring/foam mattresses in the bow berth and the aft stateroom. Bow berth mattress is 9 1/2 inches thick and measures a massive 42" at the foot, 78" on the sides and 95" at the top. ?Sleep System? which has two comforters zipped together with a heavy comforter on one side, and a light weight comforter on the other side. ?Sleep System? has removable sheets that are held in place with Velcro bands. You just flip the ?system? depending on the temperature. 2. A huge amount of storage is located under the bow berth segregated into 4 separate compartments found under the bow berth3. The aft stateroom has an 8 inch thick custom mattress that measures 52? by 78? long. Also included is a second ?Sleep System? as described above. Both the Main cabin and the Aft stateroom have hot air vents which receive heat from a heat exchanger and are serviced by a 3 speed fan., Mechanical Equipment: 4.2 D-Tronic diesel motor. I have seen a number of other Bayliner ads that indicate they have the D-Tronic motor-do not be fooled. There is a world of difference between the standard 4.2 DL diesel motor that Bayliner offered as a option on the Classic. This is a completely different motor than the 4.2 DL diesel engine. At the time the rights to the 4.2 DL were owned by Detroit Diesel which had been purchased by Roger Penske. Penske wiz kids lowered the compression ratio to 16.5/1, installed direct fuel injection, added hydraulic valves, and along with a few more tweaks and a black box raised the motor to 220 HP and made the engine virtually smokeless. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. 2. Fresh water cooling. 3.
