95' The M.V.Recife is suitable for employment in survey work, leisure, training etc. With a range of 2,500 nautical miles, 5 cabins, 14 berths and full navigational equipment she is a very versatile vessel that will endure most weather Brief History Since owning the RECIFE the owner has sailed her across the North Sea twice between Norway and the U.K. before departing on her voyage to Sydney Australia. With a cruising speed of 8 knots this versatile vessel made the voyage to Sydney comfortably without any mishap which only goes to prove that she is a very good ocean going ship and mechanically very sound. She has endured various weather conditions on passage including the North Sea in winter and the high temperatures of the Red Sea. With 5 cabins that can sleep 9 guests she also has 5 bunks (4 in the hold and 1 abaft the Bridge). RECIFE ex Kystvern ex Rundoy was built back in 1954 at Arundal Norway under DNV classification as a small cargo vessel. Her history includes many years with the Norwegian Navy where as it is understood, she was used as a Coastguard Vessel and Training Vessel. Her sister ship is currently a Whale Chaser back in Norway. Whilst RECIFE would convert ideally to a luxury Ocean-Going Yacht. To a prospective charterer she may also be suited to many other uses. Corporate functions, parties, survey, fishing, diving, leisure, pleasure and treasure to name but a few. Although, with her Bridge and deck layout together with the hold already converted as a classroom she is ideally suited as a Training Vessel for instruction of potential seafarers and those connected to the marine environment.
